Notice: The Oversize Overweight Permit Unit will be involved in internal training on Wednesday, April 1. There will be limited support available between 8:45AM and 3:00PM. Spring Thaw and Class II roadway restrictions begin in Zones 1 and 2 on Monday, March 9, 2026, at 12:01 AM CDT. Notice: Emergency load restrictions have been put into place on the State Hwy 70 between the intersections of Hwy GG and Hwy 70 in Loretta and Hwy 13 and Hwy 70 in Fifield limiting vehicles using this stretch of highway to legal weights. These restrictions will be in place until the roadway is able to be resurfaced which is expected to take place late spring/early summer of 2026. All overweight permitted loads except for RS permits are prohibited from using this section of roadway until the proper repairs can be performed. WisDOT asks for voluntary restriction compliance for those carrying RS permits to limit damage along this corridor. Carriers should make plans to locate and use appropriate detour routes during this restriction.
